Briefly about the Silence Collection:
The Silence collection explores the many different places and moments in which we find a sense of peace. Each of the six paintings tells its own story through a different setting and dominant color, while one element remains throughout the collection: light — a symbol of warmth, comfort and safety.
About Steel Silence:
Steel Silence is the sixth and final painting I created for the Silence collection. For the last piece, I wanted to take the collection somewhere completely different — above the clouds.
To me, Steel Silence is about stepping outside of everything for a while. The world below is still there, with all its noise, worries and chaos — but from up here, it feels so far away that, for a moment, none of it can reach me.
And despite being so far from everything, it doesn’t feel lonely. It feels freeing. There are no walls, no boundaries — only clouds and an endless sky stretching as far as I can see.
As the final piece of the collection, this feels like the perfect place for the journey to end. In the other paintings, I searched for places within the world where I could find peace. In Steel Silence, I leave the world beneath me for just a moment.
Not to escape from it forever — just to be far enough away to finally hear the silence.
